Well, sort of.
Well, as soon as it gets here & I've had it a while.
Well, to tell the truth, I just ordered it.
Rats, caught again
One of these cute little guys (a 49 Pocket, 31 cal) is inbound.
And it's all TPs fault, for getting that Remington
This will be fun.
Make Smoke! |

I hate to break this to you and had I know you had an interest. I just sold and original COLT made in 1852 in perfect working condition ( I shot it) but no finish for $415.00, the high bid at Auction Arms.
I did not have the cash or it would be in my safe right now. |

| BTW, 00 buckshot works PERFECTLY in them thar .31's and is MUCH less expensive than the 50 per box balls. |

Shucks, T, I'd have been interested.
Oh well
When I was researching these little guys, I saw something about using ought or double ought buckshot.
Good Idea.
The balls run $8 bucks or so per 100, but the shot is a lot less. I'll probably not cast for this little fellow, so a small bag/box of shot will be just the ticket. |

Very nice. My son and I were just making smoke last week. Do you ever find that the fired caps deform and jam the cylinder?
Did your friend default on your loan of your other BP revolver? Is it now a Troubled Asset?
Your bailout's in the mail.

| The Remmy;s don't do that, it is an inherent problem with the Colt's. |

He still has it, but I haven't bugged him. Maybe I should
I think I remember Elmer Keith writing that the old timers would elevate (point the bbl at the sky) the percussion Colts on cocking, so that (maybe) the fired cap would fall free. It helps, but as T says, that is a problem with the open top design, and something of a problem with all cap "revolters." |

| My Colt Army will jam with fired caps. Even pinching them a bit wont totally cure it. |

Well, it's here, and it is the cutest little critter you ever saw (looks just like the pic above)
Haven't shot it yet - None of my nipple wrenches fit (too big), and rather than grind one down, I ordered a proper one. It's inbound.
Figured I'd better be able to strip the little puppy after shooting, and better to find out beforehand that I didn't have the proper wrench.
A report to follow when all is on hand & Smoke Has Been Made |

Now dammitall, TP, I just shot 15 minutes watching Python bits on Youtube and chortling.
Now that I think about it, though, not a bad way to spend time.
Got to love those guys.

Well, Rats.
The nipple wrench has arrived and it fits, and I'm ready to go.
But the weather isn't cooperating.
Rain, sleet, snow. Guess I'm a wimp
But is is supposed to get better in a day or two. |
